Biography

Stephen Odhiambo is the Deputy Country Director Operations of the WSU Global Health - Kenya. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, and Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management from Maseno University. As a career administrator, he has worked with a number of programs; Between 2006 -2007 he worked as Operations Manager with Institute of Tropical Medicine Belgium/Kemri collaboration and was instrumental in developing business system, between 2008- 2016 worked with KEMRI/CDC program as Senior Program Administrator HIV Implementation Service and Science Branch, taking lead in a number key program activities. 

Personal Statement

Project management and Operations is a career that excites me for the sole reason of being an all-round individual in an organization. This work demands cross training that I bring from earlier professional experience and over time I have immersed myself in a wealth of skills and experience that makes me a manager that I envisioned. When not at work I play soccer and love traveling.

Expertise

Currently Stephen is the Operational Manager charged with the responsibility of policy development, oversight on the finance and procurement sections, and leads human resources, general administration, and managing collaborations at WSU Global Health - Kenya. 

Motivation

The guiding tools of trade in an organization is policies, and as the individual charged with this responsibility I feel honored and privileged to develop the policy documents that inform and guide the business systems of WSU Global Health - Kenya.
