Message from the Allen School Director
Building. Building is certainly the word that is on the mind of our faculty, staff, and students. In its context as a noun, we are looking forward to moving into our new building, the Paul G. Allen Center for Global Animal Health, and to welcoming you at the dedication on September 8. The Center is not only a remarkable facility that provides the new research capabilities required to discover innovative solutions but also showcases the mission of the school, to improve public health and human opportunity. In its context as a verb, building denotes the rapidly increasing capacity of the school to fulfill this mission. We are growing through both recruitment of new faculty and strategic partnerships with institutionsthat share our mission. The partnership between WSU and the Nelson Mandela African Institute of Technology is a clear example of this partnership-synergistic in that our efforts together are greater than the contributions of each individual institution alone.
On behalf of the students, staff, and faculty of the Allen School-and our global partners-I want to express our continued appreciation for your interest and support in our mission. Together we can make our vision of promoting equity in health and opportunity for all people a reality.
The Creighton Endowed Chair and Director of the Paul G. Allen School for Global Animal Health
