Shaping tomorrow's leaders
Thanks to funds from an anonymous private donor, the WSU Graduate School will provide $500,000 over a five-year period to support graduate programs offered through the School for Global Animal Health:
Infectious diseases and immunology
Animal health policy and metrics
Students will develop an understanding of interactions among business, governments, inter-governmental agencies, and public interests as they relate to science-based animal health and food policy development.
Unique aspects of the programs
- Multidisciplinary curricula. Integrating research on disease transmission and prevention with economics, policy, and political science
- Real-world education. Blending rigorous academic training with experiential learning
- Learning from leaders in the discipline. Providing students with opportunities to work with top scientists, practitioners, and leaders in global animal health, both on campus and in the field
