Our scientists in Pullman and around the world are recognized as global health leaders in infectious disease, antimicrobial resistance, rabies control and prevention, and zoonotic disease. We provide advanced graduate and post-doctoral training in infectious diseases and immunology.

Graduate degree programs

Rigorous educational training for tomorrow’s scientists in biomedical sciences

PhD in Biomedical Sciences – Immunology and Infectious Diseases

A research-intensive program training students in immunology, host-pathogen interactions, and population biology of bacterial, parasitic, and viral infectious diseases in animals and humans.

Postdoctoral training programs

Our postdoctoral programs provide advanced research training and career development.

Infectious disease and microbial immunology postdoctoral program

Designed to prepare fellows to address critical knowledge gaps in zoonotic infectious diseases and emergence of antimicrobial resistance. It is funded by the prestigious and highly competitive National Institutes of Health T32 training program.
