Xueying (Snow) Wang is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the Washington State University. Dr. Wang's research area is mathematical biology. Particularly, she is interested in illuminating the underlying mechanism of a biological system through mathematical modeling and analysis, with the aim of addressing the issues that arise from scientific applications.
Her primary research efforts currently focus on:
Infectious disease dynamics: transmission and disease threshold dynamics, disease spreading speeds, within-host and between-host dynamics
Mathematical analysis of neurons and neural networks
Trojan Y-Chromosome eradication strategy for an invasive species
Parameter estimations for differential equations
